This Rolls-Royce Cullinan Had Its Brakes Checked At A Chevy Dealer

One would expect the owner of a Rolls-Royce Cullinan to take their luxurious SUV to their nearest Rolls-Royce dealership were they ever in need of a service or a quick check-up. Evidently, the owner of this Cullinan decided a Chevrolet dealership would be up for the job.

This image was shared in the Justrolledintotheshop Subreddit that is filled with interesting posts by mechanics from all around the world.

The individual who uploaded this photo says the owner of the Cullinan came to the Chevrolet dealership to have the brakes of the SUV checked. The mechanic adds that they wanted him to check out the inside of the rotors, perhaps because of a noise in that area, meaning the mechanic had to put the Rolls-Royce on the shop’s lift.

In news that won’t surprise anyone, the mechanic adds that the Rolls-Royce in question is owned by a footballer.

While the Cullinan is one of the most refined SUVs on the planet, the owner of this example has seemingly decided to make it look subdued and had the exterior wrapped in a combination of matte and gloss black. The massive wheels of the Rolls have also been finished in matte black and even the headlights have been tinted black.

Upgrade Your Rolls-Royce Cullinan To 663 HP For $3,995

The uncrowned king of luxury SUVs, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, has received a software remap from VFEngineering.

The tuner promises an extra 100 HP and 110 pound-feet (149 Nm) of torque courtesy of its modified ECU, which allows the twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12 to kick out 663 HP and 737 lb-ft (999 Nm) and drop the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time from 5.7 to 5.1 seconds, according to their test. And all that for a relatively reasonable $3,995.

VFEngineering has played it safe, as besides the Stage 1 software upgrade they haven’t done anything else to the Cullinan, but if you so desire, there are several other tuners out there that would take care of the looks. Mansory, for one, has a complete body kit available for the British SUV, and there is nothing subtle about it. The cabin follows the same route with a very turquoise appearance, in this case, with the new shade being applied to almost every touchable surface.

Other options, like Spofec’s Overdose, are a bit more discreet, but they still do not do justice to what is otherwise a very classy high-rider. And speaking of Spofec, the tuner also has a plug-and-play module on its shelves for the Cullinan, which unleashes 676 HP and 745 lb-ft (1,010 Nm), allowing it to hit the 62 mph (100 km/h) mark in 4.9 seconds.
