You’ll Wish You Could Buy This Life-Sized Lamborghini Sián Made Entirely Out Of Lego Bricks

Lego has revealed its latest life-sized creation: a 400,000-piece Lamborghini Sián FKP 37. Utilizing pieces from Lego Technic, the result took 8,660 hours to develop and construct.

The replica is 4,980 mm (196 in) long, 2,101mm (82.7 in) wide, and 1,133mm (44.6 in) high, making its dimensions identical to that of the real-life car. A millimeter-perfect homage, Lego says it’s the first time a hexagonal shape has been used to form the outer shell of a build.

The real-life Sián is Lamborghini’s first production hybrid and comes with a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 — something the scale model, obviously, doesn’t feature. It does, however, come with a brick-built steering wheel decorated with the Lamborghini emblem and Italian flag, LEGO-built dashboard controls, and racing seats.

Lamborghini made headlines with the real-life Sián by incorporating a supercapacitor, which weighs less than a traditional battery. But we suspect weight wasn’t a consideration for the Lego team, with the life-size Sián replica topping the scales at 2200 kg (4850 lbs).

The Lego Sián uses 154 different Technic parts. However, only 20 of these had to have been specifically created for the project. The life-size replica follows from the 1:8 scale Lego Technic Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 that launched in June 2020.

In a first for Lego, this large-scale Sián features what is called a “paintbrush-effect” UV color coating. To ensure the finish matched that of the actual car, the paint was applied by Lamborghini’s own paint shop. The color itself was carefully compared to that found on the 1:8 scale Lego Technic model, with multiple tests performed to ensure it tallied with the correct Pantone.

In another unique adaptation, Lego pays homage to the Sián’s name by employing innovative use of lighting for the 1:1 scale model. In the Bolognese dialect, the word Sián means flash, or lightning, which is why you’ll find illuminated lightning bolts down the side of the recreation’s body. The unique lightning bolt lights have been designed to mimic the power-up and power-down sequence found on the real-car’s headlights and taillights, with Lego’s electrical engineers ensuring they flash in a similar fashion.

“Our designers love a challenge, so you can imagine their delight when we tasked them to think slightly larger than normal with this model,” said Senior Vice President of Product and Marketing at the LEGO Group, Lena Dixen. “They jumped at the chance of teaming up with our amazing designers and engineers from our model production workshop at the Kladno factory in the Czech Republic who build these impressive life-size models, and really pushing the boundaries of what can be done with LEGO Technic.”

Does This Blue Lamborghini Aventador SV Look Better With 22-Inch Aftermarket Wheels?

Few cars turn heads quite like the Lamborghini Aventador and this particular SV model is especially striking.

The first aspect of this Aventador SV that makes it stands out is the blue paint adorning the exterior. You’d be hard-pressed to find all that many other Aventadors painted in this shade and that’s a shame as it works nicely with the sharp edges and angular creases of the Italian supercar. Further adding to the look of the Lamborghini are yellow accents on the front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser, while the large SV logo is also finished in a matching shade of yellow.

From the factory, the Aventador SV came outfitted with tightly-spoked black wheels as standard, but the owner of this example recently turned to Vossen to have a new set of wheels fitted. These silver-finished rims are the three-piece Evo-2R and measure 22 inches. To complete the look, the car has also been lowered by Champion Motorsport, providing it with the perfect stance on the road.

While the Aventador SV is no longer in production having been replaced by the SVJ, it remains extremely impressive. It is powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 churning out 740 hp and mated to a seven-speed ISR transmission. The owner of this example has also had his car fitted with a Capristo exhaust system that should have made the supercar’s soundtrack even more exciting.

Is The Lamborghini Urus Immune To The 770 HP Shelby F-150 Super Snake’s Bite?

The Lamborghini Urus needs no introduction. It’s the brand’s first modern-day high-rider, shares its platform with other flagship SUVs from the VW Group and has a whopping amount of power.

With 641 HP and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque produced by its twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, it does the 0 to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds and runs out of breath at 190 mph (306 km/h).

Many fast vehicles have fallen victim to the Urus so far, including some that were more powerful, so is the Shelby F-150 Super Snake going to be one of them? The tuned pickup truck boasts a neck-snapping 770 HP from its supercharged 5.0-liter V8, which translates in just 3.45 seconds needed to hit the 60 mph (96 km/h) mark, according to Shelby, and a 0-100-0 mph (0-161-0 km/h) of 8.3 seconds.

Other highlights include an aftermarket suspension, Borla exhaust system, uprated brakes and 22-inch wheels shod in grippy tires. To make sure that no one mistakes the Super Snake for the regular Ford F-150, Shelby has also modified it inside and out, with custom bumper, grille, splitter, badging and racing stripes, a leather interior, new gauges, racing pedals and tinted windows. The 770 HP variant starts at almost $94,000, whereas the 395 HP non-supercharged model is priced from nearly $86,100.
